Hello everyone, I'm a new member and having difficulties with my latest recording. I'm searching for answer for weeks by now, couldnt find anything yet. Heres my story:

    Camera: Toshiba Camileo S30
    Recording format: .mp4
    Working sample: Clip0015.mp4
    Corrupted file: Clip0034.mp4

I have 10.6 gigabytes of corrupted mp4 files. I have no clue what happened. For forst my camera was working, after a while it wasn't turning on, I was playing with it's charger, tryed to take out battery etc, then somehow I could give it a new life again and was working as intended. Did some serious recordings which would be really-really imortant for me (not some ex-girlfriend porn :P) but cant get it played. Tryed everything from opening it with after effects cc12 (unsupported format error), uploading it to youtube (unsupported file type) till hunting for programs on the internet. I couldnt even find any information about what could the problem be with my files.

So i copied every file from the camera to PC (camera cant play them as well, freezes on try) and formatted the SD card with deep format (32 gb took about 5-6 hours to format). Since then I can record with it perfectly again, but I can't re-construct the conditions of my previous recordings, thats why I need some help.

I'm also attaching a list of programs I tryed so far.

IF it would be irrepairable, I would like to hear a well detailed, technical information about it. I don't want to delete them unless there is 0 chance to repair them (why would i keep 10.6 gigas junk lol?).

  2. CLIP0034.MP4 has nothing but zeros in it. There's nothing to recover.

Open the mp4 in a hex editor. If just zeros it does not contain any video.
