What exactly do you want ? Rip the vob-file (use smartripper and tmpgenc to convert it to mpg) or make a screenshot (use PowerDVD or WinDVD screenshot function) ?

  3. i what to copy the menu as an bitmap. with the screenshot-option i get only a black bitmap. when i copy the vob-files with smartripper and play the first vob as an mpg windows media player shows me the menu, also with the submenus, but i can't copy this. with copy&paste to any paint-program i also get a black screen????????

Did you use the scrennshot function from WinDVD (P) / PowerDVD (C) or the standard Win screenhot (cntr-print). As DVD are playing via DirectShow, you can't make screenshots in "normal" ways.
But after converting the menu mpg (after ripping) with tmpgenc, you could make a screenshot with VirtualDub.
But to be honest, I never tried to make such things with a menu vob.I'll try that tonite!
