  1. Hi,

I have judt downloaded the vcd toolbox and have tried going through the tutorial. What I would like to know if can it do this:

Load a page with several items on like:

    Menu Choice 1
    Menu Choice 2
    and so on..

When any of the items are selected another page opens with thumbnails of images on which when they are selected play as a slideshow.

Does anyone have a demo of somthing they have created with this software?, I have seen the demo of vcdimagine and this looks very good however it is not easy to use (I am new to all this).

ANy help / samples would be appreciated

    cheers

  2. You can do mult-level menus with VCD Toolkit. You can create menu backgrounds with any number of image tools, such as PowerPoint, PaintBrush, etc. The more sophisticated image tools you let you easily create an image file with the thumbnails you want, and then save that in an image format that Toolkit will accept.

Obsolete CD-i players, which the Toolkit program supports, had the ability to select "hotspots" on a menu with a "mouse" pointer. VCD players, and DVD players with VCD support, don't have this ability, however. So to be able to select a specific image, you would have to assign a number to each image to allow for menu selection via a numeric keypad.

For slideshows, you could create a thumbnail menu which uses the first image of each slideshow, assign it a selection number, and then have that selection be a sequence of images that returns to the thumbnail menu.
