  1. I've been using AVIaddXsubs for a couple years now, it really is the best at adding subtitles to videos quickly and also plays on my PS3. This was when I still had a standard TV. Now that I have a 40 inch TV, the subtitles are ugly, pixelated. So I tried increasing the resolution and font size in the program settings, apparently it has no effect. Is there a way to edit or extract and re-add the subtitles to have smoother edges?

  2. Use text based subs (SRT) and a player that overlays them while playing.
