  1. I have a Canon HD camcorder and have been copying my videos - just family stuff - onto DVD-R (generally).

    I decided to buy a blu ray player and some Panasonic blu ray disks BD-R. (No point in having HD and then mostly watching in SD. My TV is HD.)

    But my Samsung R530 laptop (windows 7 ultimate) won't recognise the blu ray Panasonic disks.

    I don't think it's relevant but I use the Canon supplied videobrowser for editing and burning. I know videobrowser receives a lot of criticism but I find it works well for the very limited things I wish to do.

    pretty sure that laptop didn't come with a blu-ray drive.
