  1. my sony player supports only .avi(codec-xvid),mpeg-1 and simple mpeg-4 formats

Using AVI FourCC Code changer i can able to change to .avi -xvid codec for .avi formats and it can be played

Like that is there any simple tool(like avi fourcc code changer) for mpeg4-h264 codec to mpeg4-xvid codec just in single click using any code changer ?

How to change in a click of CODEC OF ANY MP4 TO OUR COMPATIBLE FORMAT CODEC ? (LIKE AVI FOURCC CODE CHANGER- IT WORKS FOR AVI FORMATS).

Its hard to convert the whole file for JUST CODEC conversion ?

That trick will only work if the AVI/MP4 is already encoded as the player's expecting - an Xvid (DivX) video stream, and an MP3 audio stream. Problem is, both the video and audio in either an AVI or MP4 can be encoded using many other codecs than just those. If they are, and you want to play the videos on your player, you'll have no choice but to re-encode.

You can't "convert" from one codec to another. The original encoded video is decoded, then re-encoded using another codec. It's a complete reconstruction; it's not like repainting your living room.

(hint) Read post #2 and post #3 again. To go from h264 to DivX, you have to re-encode. You can't just change the name of the codec and expect that it will work in your player.
