    I got a flower iMac with a Maxtor ext firewire 80G HD capture DV from my Canon ZR30. It skips every few seconds. Anyone has a similar problem? I wonder if I upgrade the int HD would be better than using the ext one?

    I'm just guessing here, but maybe if your external HD was 7200 rpm, that might help?
