  1. I'm confused on how to make VCDs. ok, i got this mpg file that i used TMPGEnc's MPEG Tools's Simple Multiplex..... and i tried to make a vcd compliant file. Then i used Nero Burning Rom's Video CD function and it didn't show any errors when checking the file, so i thought it was fine. Then i burned it and tried to run it on my DVD player, but it says "no disc" when it tries to read it. Then i was thinking maybe i have to change the encoding from PAL to NTSC. But that didn't work....... DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT I"M DOING WRONG. Should i try SVCD instead?

  2. Generally, if the DVD player says "No Disc", then it means your player does not support the reading of CDs, i.e. VCDs.

Have you tried using a CDRW instead of a CDR? Have you checked the DVD compatibility chart on the left hand side menus on this site?
