    One and all,
    Hello.
    I stepped on my BD-R with precious information. The BD-R is cracked in half (on one side).

    Is it possible to retrieve the video data?

    No. Your drive won't be able to read it and if you're lucky, it will eject it before the disc shatters and destroys the drive.

    I get BDs and DVDs occasionally from rental sources that are cracked and the drive always rejects them if I don't notice the crack.
    But even with a small crack, the drive and your software would be very unlikely to be able to read the disc.
