Greetings
I have alot of 1280x720 captures and I want to make a DVD from them, but they all are both interlaced and blended. Is there anything that can be done? Also there is alot of compression artifacting can this be made to look smoother?
here is sample

thanks in advance

I don't think there's much you can do about those caps. You should have captured at the native 480 line resolution.

well...I have been asked to show a clip of capturing same thing in sd and see if it makes a difference as the source of all these captures are 480i and when they stream them in hd they just upscale it to 1280x720
here is cap of exact same clip in sd stream

What are you capturing from? And what are you capturing with? Your caps are very screwed up. The two fields are no longer separate. Turn off any filtering in the capture device. No cropping, no resizing, no noise reduction, no sharpening, etc.
Oh, these are streamed from somewhere on the internet? Can you give a link? -
I use edius to capture them from a ROKU, I don't use any filters nothing just straight capture into edius thru hdmi using hdstorm and when I do sd captures from ROKU I use Canopus ADVC-500
here is link to online streaming of same movies I took clips from
http://www.amazon.com/Days-Jesse-James-Roy-Rogers/dp/B00ACV145W/ref=sr_1_9?s=instant-v...0528052&sr=1-9
it is free if you have amazon prime subscription
thanks

It doesn't seem likely the Roku would screw up the video. And the ADVC-500 should be fine. But it's hard to believe that Amazon is screwing up video like that. Unfortunately, I don't have an Amazon Prime membership. Otherwise I'd test it for myself.
About the best you can hope for with video screwed up that badly is to blur the fields together.
