converting avi to mpg using TMPGenc software need help

i use the program i have no trouble except at the end it brings up an error about audio. How can i convert the audio to a wav file or a mp3.

I tried virtualdub it saved a file but it was not a wav file

any help would be appreciated

Purchase a registered version of TOTAL RECORDER (US$12). Once installed open your movie in your favourite movie player and open Total Recorder. Press the red recording button on Total Recorder and then play movie. Total recorder will producce a wav file for you which you can encode with the video using TMPGEnc. Please note a trial version of total recorder will NOT work nor will a hacked version.
