  1. Hi,

I was almost finished converting an .avi into .mpg with TMPGEnc when an error occured and the conversion stopped (okay, so there wasn't enough space on my hard drive...)
If I hit 'start' again, though, I get the message that the file already exists (of course, since I've already spent 7 hours converting 690MB) and I'm asked if I want to overwrite - which I DON'T, because there are already 690 out of 750MB encoded.
    Is there no RESUME option?

    Feli,

There is no resume option (not yet) in TMPGEnc
...but what you can do, is to change the range being encoded and then join the 2 files.

As soon as I use the cutter/joiner in Tmpgenc's MPEGTools Nero (and other burning prgs) complain that it is no longer a standard-compliant VCD.

Is this a known problem, and how can I avoid it from happening?

    TIA

Make sure you change the drop down arrow to Mpeg 1 VCD, before you hit run
