MPEG-4 Simple Studio Profile Decoding

Hello,

Is there any tool available to play/decode a video with format MPEG-4 Visual Simple Studio Profile Level 2 stream.
I had a MOV file with this kind of video.
Unfortunately quick time player is failed to play or recognize the media.
Please help.

Have you tried vlc and smplayer?

SrViewer from Sony: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/srviewer should be able to playback MPEG-4 SStP files, don't know of any normal player (aside from some NLEs) which support MPEG-4 SStP.
(afaik. libav doesn't support it so vlc and (S)MPlayer will probably fail)

What? You lost me now. Or is the 'QT Player' you are referring to not the Quicktime Player (http://www.apple.com/de/quicktime/download/) ?
If it is the Quicktime Player, like I wrote, as far as I know, there is no plugin for it to support MPEG-4 Simple Studio Profile content.

No, afaik decoding inside Avid (www.avid.com) is only possible through the AMA (Avid Media Access) plugin mentioned above. Players which simply state that they will support content from Avid will probably not support MPEG-4 Simple Studio Profile.
