I'm going through baby videos, trying to minimize wasted time and space by trimming them. I see that Avidemux in copy mode is supposed to be lossless.
As a test, I opened and saved one video (no trimming) in copy mode, using the MPEG Ps muxer. According to what I see online this should give me a straight copy with no re-encoding, but the resulting file is slightly smaller than the original--16.2 MB vs 16.3.
Is this a true lossless copy or are my settings not correct?
TIA...

Different muxers, slightly different overhead. Your remux copy is lossless as far as the audio and video are concerned.
