hello
i have a video clip at 25fps, I would like to slightly speed it up , because it is just a little slow for my needs.
there is no audio and the final format will be a divx.avi , (no dvd or bluray.)
I would like it approx 4 > 7 percent faster.
perhaps i could render my 25fps clip at 26 fps divx .avi ? i wonder if there would be any media players that would not be happy with this? Or perhaps I could use a higher frame rate in my sequencer and then time compress my 25fps within this higher resolution rate time line without dropping frames?
thank you for your advice
: )

hi redwud.
the source format is uncompressed avi.
i have just managed to do this in adobe after effects with no frames lost very smooth by conforming the 25fps clip to 26fps in the project menu, the composition menu and the export menu too)
so i now have this exported to avi at 26fps; and i managed to import it into virtualdub and created a divx at 26fps too and all looks great. and of course it is now sped up 4 percent. : )
hopefully 26fps can be played on mac and pc on variety of media players.
thanks your welcome and support.
happy 2014. -
Only a few formats are very particular about framerates, DVD video would be one of them. But most AVI type players should work if the framerate is within the playback specifications of the player. Checking one settop Philips Divx player, it seems to have a AVI range of 6fps to 30fps, so probably best to stay within that range.
