Well you hardly looked very far.
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-BDP-S5100E-Worldwide-Voltage-Included/dp/B00CS5HAG2/ref=sr_...blu+ray+player
But why oh why is your current player Region B ? -
It is not Region B it tells me that I cannot play the region B DVD that I had purchased fro Amazon.com
-
Amazon.ca lists the same Sony player: http://www.amazon.ca/BDP-S5100-Multi-Region-Player-2-4Ghz/dp/B00C1L8QZ2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=...blu-ray+player
It also lists a region-free version of the LG BP 530: http://www.amazon.ca/BP530-International-100~240V-Voltage-Included/dp/B00CP8BUQI/ref=s...layer+LG+DP530
Note that these players have undergone hardware modifications and may be running custom firmware. It isn't possible to make the normal versions of these players region free yourself. -
Region B is for blu ray not DVD. I suppose Amazon.com sell imported (from Europe etc.) blu rays but the alarm bells should ring.
The player I linked to should play them. But your tv might not display them. -
Yes, it is a good idea to contact the seller to find out for certain if these players will convert "PAL" resolutions and frame rates for a N. American TV. They probably do, the LG is even described as converting, but you wouldn't want to find out that they don't after buying them.

Tried to purchase the Sony-BDP S5100E DVD player and Amazon told me this (We're sorry. This item can't be shipped to your selected destination. You may either change the shipping address or delete the item from your order.) They sold me DVDs that I cannot play on my present DVD player so what would be my problem. Something seems to be wrong They sold me DVDs that will not play on my present DVD player but will not sell me a DVD player that is suppose to play that type of DVDs.

Why do you insist on calling these DVD's. ?
Just use usually_quiet's link and buy from Amazon_Canada.
Surely they (Canada) will ship to you. No idea why they(US) do not ship to Canada but they may be import restrictions for higher value items. Just a guess. -
