Superimposing Videos on each other?

I need to know what kind of editing software I will need for something I want to do often. This isn't what I'm looking to do but as an example; say I start with a video of movie Iron Man flying, and I want to take a video of Reeves Superman, cut him out and place him flying next to Iron Man. Not a still image of Superman but with full animation and motion. Or it could be Iron Man saying something and Superman walking past him in the background. Both videos running at once and then flattened into one image\video. What software program would I need to do that. I've ordered Adobe Premiere Pro 6, but don't know if it will handle that. Help please.
