Correct usage of Deblock_QED for Interlaced footage?

Can someone please tell me what the correct script is for Deblock_QED when the source footage is interlaced? From what I understand Deblock_QED will only use full strength deblocking on parts of the picture that require it. That's what I'm looking for but whenever I use it it doesn't seem to work properly as I can see flashing artifacts now and again.

It might or might not affect "Flashing blocks", or there might be other reasons for what you describe, or you might need to adjust the settings
