    LOL!!

It has been snowing for the last week, then today it warmed up just enough for it to rain a little then it all froze turning everything to
    ice!!!!!!
But all the snow is still here!!!
It's like 28 degrees out and it's 8:00pm, it will get much colder through the night!

Ahhh to be sitting on that beach right now!!!!

We've had a 'cold' winter here so far. Daytime temps in the 73F (23C) range, overnight about 45F (7C). Usually it's about 10F higher. Summer is usually over 105F (40C).
But I moved here to get away from the cold and wet. At least we don't have earthquakes, hurricanes, tornados, tsunamis, or floods. We do have flash floods, but only in autumn during monsoon season.
We also have dust storms, but not that often. Altitude about 1700 feet (518M), so not high enough for snow.

And Happy New Year to all!

Ya know it's a toss up between Arizona & Colorado for me, but how could you ever beat sitting somewhere looking at water like that all year round

    Hi there. To Noahtuck...
We've heard on the news that the winter's been severe in the U.S. this year.
This region of Brazi is called The Green Coast and is located between the borders of the States of Saint Paul and Rio de Janeiro (far way from Rio, the city), respectively the municipalities of Ubatuba and Paraty, both small towns. It's a great place for diving; the scenery could be comparable to that one of Seychelles, Mauritius or Reunion Island on the Indian Ocean. Temperatures in the summer (December - March) are between 28º to 40º C, but the Atlantic Forest as you can see, cover all the mountains (many waterfalls) and provides shade and a refreshing atmosphere. Thousands of North Americans and Europeans are used to going there for vacation and they love it, specially Paraty, the "colonial town".

Note: the set of mountains on the background is the Sea Mountain Range or Serra do Mar (in Brazilian Portuguese).
