Totally nieve question im afraid,
If I had a DVD Recorder with a built in HDD, Would I be able to transfer recorded SKY programs from my SKY HD box to the HDD via a digital connection (HDMI etc), and then in turn burn that recording onto a DVD from the HDD itself.......ie avoiding any need for the loss in quality from using a SCART lead.......hope this makes a modicum of sense.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Almost certainly not. The DVD recorder and the Sky HD box are unlikely to use the same scheme for storing data on their HDDs, plus the data is likely to be encrypted on both using different keys and methods.

Thanks for the info...
Id just had a brainstorm, I have been transferring some SKY recordings straight to disc and had an "I wonder" moment.....
Thanks again
