Machine has a myriad of symptoms. Intermittent video, intermittent audio, problem playing store bought tapes, flickering gages, continuos beep. Noisy picture was corrected by replacing smd aluminum caps within the capstan and head amp. Also replaced failing caps in the ps. I am looking for the service manual badly.

	Have you tried looking around in the local pawn shops, Salvation Army stores, TV/VCR repair shops, etc.? Many have stacks of VCR's sitting about for dirt cheap. Google is your Friend
