  1. Thank You - It worked, I converted AVI to MOV and played it on my TV and it worked. Now I have a lot of work and learning to do to convert the rest of my AVI to MOV and see what happens. I worked in silicon Valley for 20 years in computer networking so I have 8 backup so I will never loose my originals. Thanks again.

Great! You can try the Quicktime(very high quality) preset and see if you get any better quality.

  4. The best thing to do in most cases is leave the videos as-is, esp WMV files. Stop trying to make the TV do everything: no matter what "USB features" the TV mfr claims, they are often only partially compatible. Instead of plugging a USB stick directly into the TV, and using the TV interface, buy yourself a separate universal media player like the Western Digital or even this one from NewEgg. Plug the player into your TV, and plug your USB stick or camera cards into the player. The dedicated player accessory almost always has a much wider range of video compatibility than the TV itself, and greater ability to play corrupt, damaged, or incorrectly formatted videos.

This thing works great and I can play AVI files, but I can't play WMV from the web cam on it. Do you have any suggestions how I can play WMV on this device?
