my personal vent on mvtools and qtgmc.

i've spent all morning and afternoon, since 8am this morning on this, trying to get mvtools, well, that and all associated dlls and avsi scripts to work. apparently, it seems you have to download the entire arson of .dll plugins or it just won't work. i keep getting one file after another missing in action error. its 2:15pm and i still can't get whats suppose to be a simple filter working, qtgmc. i've tried getting it to work in other experiences but gave up on it. and i'm reaching that point again. this will be my 4th and final time trying to get it to work. this is pure torture for anyone. thank you.

edit: i finally got it, however, torture was not the right word to use. 50 seconds to scrub bw/fw to a single frame. i give up on this method of deinterlacing content.

  2. There are a few threads here with links to an all-in-one archive of everything you need for QTGMC.

lol, i figured out the problem. apparently, i had copied the wrong snipet.. hadn't even had qtgmc installed. it was one of the noise reduction snipets that was giving me all the problems. i guess thats what i was doing all along in the other attempts and didnt' realize it. oh well. lesson learned. anyway. after a few more missing files for qtgmc, i finally qot it to work, and using the "fast" preset, it is aprox .5 sec delay, much better than the previous 50 secs. finally, i can compare the older methods i've been using against qtmc.
