  1. Greetings!

    Please assist me with the following;

I am trying to edit out the "non-family" oriented scenes from a movie and then burn a DVD. However, the sliced .avi files have their audio out of sync. Here are the details in the steps I execute.....

    1) Use Format Factory to convert .vob files to .avi for slicing.
    2) Use Aimersoft Video Converter Ultimate to cut out the "non-family" oriented scene from the .avi files.
    3) Use the edited .avi files to build a DVD image using Sothink Movie DVD Maker
    4) Use Nero Express to burn the DVD image created in step 3.

Result: The chapters in the DVD that have the edited .avi files have the audio out of sync.

Please advice how may I fix the out of sync audio, or is there a simpler way/software for my purposes?

    Many thanks in advance.

Edit the dvd directly with dvd shrink or tmpgenc authoring works. Do not convert to avi.

  3. Thank you manono. VobBlanker seemed like the easier option, so I tried it first. However, both the DVD ISO images that I fired up in a virtual drive, would not play in the "Prev/Cut" window. I am attaching a screen-shot.

    Any ideas?

    I am going to try
Baldrick suggestion & jump to TMPGEnc next.

Yes, extract the DVD from the ISO. Then try again.

What about when you highlight the film in the bottom screen, hit the 'Cells' button to the right and then 'Prev/Cut on a specific cell in the new screen that opens up? Any picture then?

Thank you the help again manono!

Followed your suggestions & still no cooperation from VobBlanker!

I am attaching a screenshot. Please note that I did indeed select the cell & the attempted to preview. Oh and also extracted the VIDEO_TS folder from the .iso & then ran VobBlanker.

  6. Darn, I'm sorry then. I don't know why you don't get a picture. I usually turn it off because I find it distracting but, of course, you'll need it if trying to cut parts from a video. I checked the Settings->More Settings area and there are a couple of things you might try there. One is to check or uncheck 'Do not use overlay'. And if it's checked, uncheck 'Disable Tiny Preview'. In general, play with the the 'Previews' boxes in the lower right corner.
