  2. Can you fix your tread subject to read 4K not !K? 4K not ready for prime time. No content,or very little, being broadcast here in US. If you use it, how are you going to deliver it to your friends. I can hardly receive 1080 from Vimeo so I know I would not ever see 4k stuff. Maybe if you use it you can crop to 1080 and be happy with that.

  3. personally i dont see any point in this 4K technology except maybe for film makers, the consumer/prosumer market just doesnt need this format, heck its bad enough now that when i shoot my videos at 1080/50p AVCHD @ 28Mbps i still need to convert my videos to other formats because most people still dont have a HD tv that supports 1080/50p (50fps) or even any videos wrapped in the m2ts container, and i must convert my clients videos to formats that their systems do support.

    i am now in the process of recording my videos in 1080p ProRes HQ @ 220Mbps using a Ninja 2 recording device connected to my camera, but once edited, the ProRes file still needs to be re-converted to h264 or similar because there is still no playback support on tv for ProRes.
