what to get....ccity, bbuy, target, kmart, walmart

my apex660 just pooped...lasted 9 months...before that my philips pooped. glad they both had service plans.

anyways, im ready to buy a new one, but i want a service plan.
also, it seems newer dvd players just aren't hackable. i refuse to buy a modulator just so i can watch movies on my coax-in only tv. that's bullshit.

so...does anyone know off-hand know of what dvd players are good to get, that are both hackable and available at ccity, bbuy, kmart, target, walmart?

Found a Apex ad-1500 at kmart for $95 it is also at CC for $65 but it is alway out of stock there. Got the one from kmart play everything I throw at it. Have not applied hack yet.
