I have been looking online for a way to convert super 8 and 8mm film to DVD. The problem is good equipment costs about $3,000 and the cheapest service is around $1,000. Is there anyplace in the country that will rent equipment such as the Tobin TVT-8 HD? You would think someone somewhere would rent expensive equipment. Please help, thank you.

How many reels are you converting? Typical prices run less than $10 per 3 inch reel.
Here's a site that will rent standard 8/super 8 to digital equipment (Retro-8) for $100 per day, five day minimum.
