Heya all, i'm quite new to VCD burnning but i have a few questions. Ok, my DVD player (a sony) dosent want to play my media (a maxell) that I burned at 24x, i went to the DVD player page and read up all the reviews on it that i could find and it tells me to do this and go get that CD and CDRW... which CD is best for being certain for working or does this depend on the player?, also the lower the speed the better correct? (just making sure, please bare with me :D)
and one more question, is it possible to burn DVD's (R or RW) on a regular burner with some tweakings?
thanks ahead of time,
Dom

my sony only uses cd-rw, 4x and the high speed 10x cd-rw media, it will not take any cd-r, and even with cd-rw it can be picky. I have the Sony 550, my Pioneer on the other hand plays back prettym uch anything so far I have thrown at it, cd-r. cd-rw lo and hi speed cd-rw, and of course dvd-rw/ dvd-r, and the various formats, vcd, svcd, krags's vcd template, my dvd burns.
as for the 2nd question, no you cannot burn to a dvd-r with a cd-r/rw.
