In virtualdub, using FFinputdriver, I can open my .mxf (YUV) files but even if I use the fast recompress, the uncompressed output is RGB (mediainfo report is a RGB), is there a way to output the same YUV as source?

You can force it by using video=>full processing mode, video=>color depth, input and output to 4:2:2 YCbCr (either UYVY or YUY2)
File=>file information should show mpeg2video 4:2:2 (it will say ffmpeg properties in the top left hand corner) . If it doesn't there is a problem with the import plugin, or you didn't use it properly (to be sure you need to select from drop down menu when opening video "files of type: ffmpeg supported files", otherwise you might be using another plugin to open mxf like directshow plugin)Last edited by poisondeathray; 26th Nov 2013 at 10:53.
