  1. Hi,

I have a little problem. I have two videos from the same anime.

    - One with french audio, at 25fps (duration 24:45)
    - One with EN audio, at 30 fps (duration 24:54)

I want to keep the video from the 30fps movie and use the audio from the 25fps movie (converting the first video to 25fps if it's necessary).

The problem : when i convert the second file to 25fps (for sync with 25fps french audio file), the duration is the same (24:54) or approx 30:00, depending on the *fps function i'm using in avisynth. The result is completly broken sync with the french audio.

Is it possible, using avisynth or something else, to get what i want ?

Here you can download the files for testing purpose if you want to help me : http://kaizoku-oni-fansub.info//test/Pack.zip

Ask me if you don't understand something, my english isn't very well.

    Thanks.

PS : sorry if my thread isn't at the right place, i don't know where to put it and i think this is the best area.

  2. You can't fix the sync of those two videos by changing the length of the video or audio. They are different cuts. Look at the fade to black at 1:48. The black duration is much longer in the 30 fps video. The same happens later at 9:09 into the english version. Not doubt there are more too.

  4. It's not impossible but it requires more work. You have to cut and paste sections of video or audio with an editor. Otherwise the duration of the audio is about the same for both videos. They might differ by 23.976/24 but I didn't look that closely.

I think it's a waste of time. The English version has slightly more of the picture and a larger frame but it has worse picture quality (not as sharp, blending artifacts etc.) . Just keep the French version until something better comes along.

  5. Another option is to demux the audio and import it into an app like Audacity (freeware), where you can use the "Sliding Time Scale" tool to move parts of the audio. Having an app like "Aegisub" (also freeware) open to determine the time and frames where the editing is required will facilitate the process. But all this is still a lot of work.
