  1. I transferred a VHS video to DVD.
The first time, I used the Honstech software that came with my video capture device.
I had to usea DL DVD due to the file size.
The resulting 4:3 picture on the DVD filled the center of my16:9 screen as expected.

I didn't like the Honstech editor, so I tried again using MS Movie Maker, which was a lot easier.
I then used DVD Flick to author and burn the DVD, specifying a standard size DVD.
The resulting 4:3 picture was smaller. Was that suppose to happen?
Can't it make a full size 4:3 picture on a standard DVD?

AFAIK and considering other users in this and other forums, honestech is not prime-time material, and capturing VHS directly to lossy encoding is not a good idea to begin with. Even with low standards for VHS transfer, there are many others ways to do it. You're probably better off with a DVD recorder that has a hard drive included for editing, then burn the results to DVD. Not a great deal of info about your VHS source (SP? EP? All 6 hours on one DVD? Any other considerations we should know about?). WMM is not usually recommended around here. For anything.
