Hi8 Capture problem

Hello all, i am hoping you may be able to offer a solution to a capture problem i am having. I am using a Sony DCR-TRV320e digital handycam to transfer movies to my computer using Cyberlink Powerdirector 11. Everything connects fine but transfer only occurs for a few seconds before it stops and asks me what I want to name the captured file as. I am a newbie at this and just trying to preserve family movies so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You mean every few seconds it asks?
Go into it's settings and see if you can change it.
You can also use the free WinDV to capture.

Yes, every few seconds. Tried all the settings, manual batching, etc. I'll give WinDv a go, thanks for the response.
