Hi,
I have been reading lots of posts for quite a while but never joined until today. Earlier today I finally came up with a authoring setup that gives me what I have been looking for. If anybody has any better/easier suggestions I am open to them. So after many rendering hours, system lockups, wasted CD's and so on here is what I have come up with.
1. Capture your video and edit it with whatever you prefer. I am currently using Ulead 5.
2. Save that video as uncompressed DV.
3. Open up TMpeg and set it for SVCD using all of the defaults except change the motion compensation to highest(slowest) and then wait...
4. Take your newly created MPEG2 files and open up Ulead DVD Movie Factory to create your SVCD complete with menus and selection images of your choosing.
5. Click the burn button in Movie Factory and wait...I only have a 4X burner
6. Drop that SVCD into your DVD player and be amazed at how good it looks.
What do you think? Am I on the right track?
Thanks
