I read another post and saw that it was a while ago now, but that post did not help me. In my case the 'RipBot264 Encoding Client' window does not even open, as is the video tutorial that comes with the download folder...

Several possibilities.
Has Ripbot ever worked? If not, damaged files?
Have you tried any other input files? A corrupted input file (Your video) can cause RipBot to close.
Make sure you have the correct versions of the support files/programs that RipBot requires. Especially AVIsynth.
If all else fails, uninstall the program and all the support files and reinstall. Ripbot uses quite a few files/programs internally and one of them may be damaged/corrupt.
One of our other members may see something in your log files that I missed.
And welcome to our forums. -
RipBot downloaded today, so it never worked for me.
Have tried with another file, an MP4.
I suppose if the RipBot is opening without pop up window saying that's missing programs, as happened to me on account of JAVA when I ran the program for the 1st time, I think all programs are properly installed.
What do I do? -

Thanks to the two who helped me, I managed to reduce the bitrate of a movie to perfection. Great program!
