I copied a frame from the video and painted the logo shape with red, but when I try to load the frame into the LogoAway filter I get this error.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

judging from the 3.0.1 documentation, the overlay bmp needs to be 8bit (256 colors) if I remember correctly, your bmp probably has more,...

without knowing the resolution of your image I would guess that may be the problem is that the height or width is not evenly dividable by 2. (maybe someone who has used this filter at least once can shine some light on this thread

Also, make sure both the video and the BMP are the same exact same resolution. If from DVD, for example, make sure they're both at 720x480 and neither is resized to the output resolution such as 640x480.

The logo image used dose not need to be the same size as the video source, your issue is the bitmap contains more colors than the filter allows for being 8bit.
You should be able to use ifranview to change the bit depth or even use gimp as an editor which too can output 8bit -
Dtto.
Convert the logo to greyscale.
