I am convinced that vcrs are better than Dvds

My DVD player (bought in 2001) won't play a lot of DVDs.

Correct me if I'm wrong but was that before EVERY player could play dual layer dvds?

I remember before I bought my first dvd player that the first ones and especially the cheapest at the time could only play single layer discs.

I specifically bought my first dvd player (a sony) before Star Wars Episode 1 came out on dvd. At the time it was the only Star Wars movie to be on dvd initially. It did do dual layers.
