Hmmm I don't know what to tell other then try a diff system and see if the same problem show up if so then you may to try getting a hold of hauppauge tech support and see about the getting the device RMA because maybe there something wrong with it that may why the software not working because it can't find the device.

You wouldn't be running an extended desktop by any chance and the window is opening off screen? Do you have any other viewing device ie...monitor or tv connected to your graphics adapter ie...over hdmi.

The Hauppauge device will only show in the Device Manager when drivers are installed and the usb cable is plugged in between the HDPVR2 and the computer.

If you could capture video but no audio then it's more likely that the issue is with input cabling or a setting in your PS2 than driver or software installation.

There most be something running in the back ground that keep it from starting possible some other capture tool that running in background or some other app which could even be your AV software.

Yes you do, but you won't be able to get it here because you are utterly clueless when it comes to computers and can't communicate in writing. You need to get help in person from a competent friend or you need to pay a tech at local computer repair shop to straighten out whatever mess you made for yourself when you installed Windows 7.

Oh. and by the way, bumping your post every hour or every day is a violation of forum rules, apology or not. So, by all means keep that up. Maybe you will eventually get yourself banned or at least earn yourself a place on several ignore lists. You are going on mine now.

TruGaming, please wait two or three days before bumping your own thread.
It may take some time before someone can answer your query or question.

Right-click on the program icon, and make sure it is not opening in Minimized mode.

When you changed the OS from Win 8 to Win 7, did you also install ALL the drivers for Win 7.

  23. SOMETHING WEIRD JUST HAPPEN, THE SOFTWARE JUST POPPED UP, NOW ITS NOT RESPONDING, and is there a way to check what drivers you installed? And I think I got the HD PVR2 when I switched to 7.

  24. It's not detecting the device now. *I'll regret bumping if I'm banned*

Find someone that knows their way around computers. Apparently you have no idea what you have in the box.
Quite frankly, I've seen many threads, in many forums, where someone was just yanking everyone's chain.

  26. But I don't have anyone that knows about this HD PVR2.
