  1. I've got a video which I subtitled (.avi), it's 10 minutes long but the last 5 minutes I want to get rid of so that the video is only the first 5 minutes. What program can do this for me please? Thank you

    you don't install vdub; it's a "portable" folder . Just double click on virtualdub.exe . It's probably one of the easier programs to use . An alternative is avidemux

    Is this a joke? VirtualDub is about 3MB after install.

  6. Thanks I just didn't understand the installing part (or lack of!)

    I opened my file and I get a warning which I think I can ignore:

    AVI: Variable bitrate (VBR) audio detected

    How do I set the timings and then save the shortened video? Thank you
