    Hi
I recently downloaded a music concert only available to me in 3-D. I do not have a 3-D monitor or television, but thought that perhaps one of my media players would be able to play this 3-D video in 2-D. This does not seem to be the case. At least not in a simple way. I found this post on the VCL player forum which seems to say it can be done in a very complicated way. However is there another player which can make playing back this video in 2-D simply a matter of choosing an option? Some particular is about the video are posted below. I would appreciate any ideas you have to play this video in 2-D the simplest way possible.

Buying instead of pirating + Blu-ray drive + whichever decryption software you choose + whichever software player you choose. The individual M2TS files allow playback of the 2D base view.

ArcSoft's Total Media Theater offers the ability to switch between 3D and 2D, but it's not free.

  4. I use KMPlayer for playing 3D video on 2D monitor, and it's free: http://www.kmpmedia.net/

  5. You can try potplayer too. I believe potplayer can automatically switch 3d to 2d mode by detecting the strings like sbs, 3d etc in a filename. It must be pre-configured in preferences though. KMPlayer has this feature (configuration management) too but I'm not sure if it works without any problem.
