The question is, when I take the laptop to work and access the Internet, I want to access the main computer at home, how do I do this?

I must be missing something here. I have my home network all set up and all my computers can communicate with each other and they all can access the Internet with no problems.

But when I take the laptop to work, I'd like it if I can access the main computer from work.

Please just list the steps as I am a newbie at this.
    Hello.

I use the freeware UltraVNC for remote access. You can completely control any PC set up with the program.
I find it a lot more versatile than Windows remote. http://www.uvnc.com/

    1)run it on main computer
2)remember Your ID and Password on main computer
3)run it on laptop, type in Partner ID Your ID of main computer and click Connect to partner

Thanks to everyone! You gurus really know how to "step up"! I like doing my 3D animations during my lunch hour, and hate wishing I had brought certain files on my main computer.

On a separate note, I want to do a 3D rendering of our noble host Baldrick. He gave me a second chance after I was banned. So I want to get a copy of his face we used when we had a contest to create an avatar of him. (The Evel Knievel image winning out). Anyone still have that image?
    Hello.

You can probably do a search for it here on our site. Most all threads are still available. You just need to find the right search terms.

    EDIT: Maybe this: https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/315980-We-need-an-artist-to-draw-Baldrick-in-a-cape
