Hello,
my smart TV not let me record from hdmi signal. it allow me only to record from a DTV channels(from the antenna)
I thought of an interesting solution - if I can somehow create a virtual DTV channel in HD and broadcast the virtual channel through cable (no need to use antenna. the dtv signal will come from some device to the tv through antenna cable)
so this way i can record the signal (as a normal dtv channel)!
all i need is a device the get HDMI input and send dtv output.
My question is -
- Is there such a thing? Is there a way to do this?
- How much it could cost?
Thanks for helpers!

There are such things but you can't afford one, considering you can only afford to spend $65 for an HDMI HD capture device. A device capable of converting HDMI input into an HDTV cable signal of some kind will cost at least 10 times that much and up.
