Hi guys,
I'm trying to find some information that will point me in the right direction. Here is the scenario. I'm involved in a project where the client wants to split his 70" flat screen into separate windows in order to display different web based information but they want one of the designated windows to play a channel from their TV cable either analog or HD.
The research I've done so far has lead me to believe that this can be done using a VLC embed in an internet browser such as Firefox or Chrome (considering our custom software we need to use Chrome) but at this point I'm stuck in regards what I would need to feed the TV signal into the computer. As far I know the client has a HD TV set-top box that he is thinking of using possibly or a straight cable.
Can someone recommend a usb HD tuner that would allow us to connect an HD set top box in order to feed a live TV stream into VLC that will be embedded into the Chrome browser? It's important for us to use the Chrome browser other than that if someone knows of different methods of accomplishing this then I'd love hear your ideas.
Thanks in advance for all your help,
Tommy
