    I am going to do just what you said. The star trails segment will be encoded separately into a lossless encode(is there a compressed lossless container available?). Then it will be stitched in the main segment.

    MEanwhile. its 2 days more and then my 5 days at doom9 forum will be done.
    They have the avisynth development section, and i guess that will be a good place to find a workaround for future.

    AE trial is not an option. I want to do time lapses again and again, and avisynth is what I have.

    BTW what is the MT version? I am using the latest stable avisynth and latest stable virtualdub.

    HuffYUV or UT Video Codec in AVI.

    A multithreaded version of AviSynth. It allows faster processing on multicore computers.
