  1. I have an MPEG file (which VirtualDub says is an Indeo format)... and I want to convert it to .avi... virtual dub crashes at a bad spot (maybe the last 30secs of file, or just that spot)... I tried frameserving, crashed. I tried tmpgenc multiplex, said not a valid .mpeg file. I tried MPEG corrector, no luck. I tried to convert it to .asf with Sonicfoundry stream anywhere, got hung up on that frame, and didn't convert the rest. I tried GraphEdit with a I-media avi creator filter, and a mediamend directshow filter, crashed. The file plays absolutely fine in WMP 6.4, but I just can't convert it... what are some more options to try? I need to save this... that file info which states that it is a Indeo file... could that software help it?

  3. Try VCDGear to repair the mpg file. I was tempted not to reply due to your very friendly second message!

  4. I tried that, no luck... I'm thinkin maybe this Indeo is actually an .avi file renamed .mpg? Anyone have more info on Indeo....
