  1. I'm a Starz tv subscriber and I'm trying to stream it on my desktop pc. I've registered and have been authenticated. The video plays for about 10 minutes and then I get an error message: "Playback Error Secured video output connection problem detected. Press ok to continue." I updated my browser (IE), updated Flash, cleaned out my cache, updated Silverlight and made sure that the box was checked to enable getting download and updates to components required for protected content playback. I also checked all my computer connections and even swapped out the HDMI cable for my monitor. I have no problems streaming HBOGo or Showtime Anytime. Has anyone else experienced this problem or have any idea of what I can do to fix this? I really like Starz programming. Thanks.

Haven't seen anything. And as usual, a company offers a product and then can't support it.

  5. I just wanted to make clear that Dave from Starz has done everything he can to try to help but the problem just hasn't been solved. Dave of Starz has been fantastic! I posted my query just in case someone else out there had had the same problem.

  6. My problem was easily solved -- I simply had to change my power management options so that my computer didn't go off after 10 minutes of no keyboard/mouse activity. Dave from Starz is fantastic!

Why do I get an error message on Starz/Encore Play "Usage of this app is limited to US and US legal territories" when I'm using it here in NY?

Playback error: secured video output connection problem detected. Press OK to continue; is the error I get using every browser know to man. The Starz splash screen does stream, but after that I get the above error.

From the one forum by JayBrooks it says to talk to Dave from Starz, but I do not know who Dave from Starz is or how to contact him. It is a very strange entry in the forum. Jaybrooks say that it was a save screen issue, but I do not have my computer on enough to have a save screen issue, but I did turn off the sleep mode.

The only option I can find is to to email Starz support, with no reply The error message does not appear any ware on a google search except this forum.

Can some tell me how to find Dave from Starz of give me a solution to this error?

This for Dave @ Starz: I've been communicating with Jacqui @ Starz for 10 days now and I still cannot play any Starz video on my laptop. Here goes: On Tuesday July 12 I played a video. On Wed July 13 I could not play a video and I have not been able to play one since then. I can access the website, I can access the videos of the TV show, I can access different episodes. BUT when I get to the page where you actually press "play", the cursor is a little hand and even though the "play" button lights up, nothing happens. I don't know what info you need to diagnose this, please let me know.
