Is it possible to record the microphone in AND sound out (speakers) at the same time? I know one and the other can be done at different times, but what about at the same time? The only workaround I have seen is by mixing the two in Windows 7 sound options. This works, but the downside is that the mic in ends up coming out of the speakers. If there were a way to silence that mic in coming out and still record mic in AND audio out. Is there a way?

  2. Unless your recording device has more than one channel (L-R), you have to use a mixer as you have done. The hardware solution would be to add another recording channel with a second sound card or use a mic mixer to feed the sound card line out and the mic into the line in.

But with computers a software solution is always more sensible. I assume you have to record the speakers because your source is a stream, something like this program might be what you're looking for; give the free trial a spin. On the freeware side, you should be able to script something with FFMpeg and maybe with Graphedit too.
