I need to cut, add title intro, occasional text overlay and credits to a 90 min .wmv (720x406) and then export to .mov with no (if possible) quality loss.
What editor should I work with?
This might be a one-time task so I wouldn’t invest in some fancy software.
Thank you in advance…

You wont find anything free that can export to mov directly.
Easiest would be to use windows live moviemaker and export to highest possible quality wmv or dv-avi and then convert to a mov with for example mpeg-streamclip.
