How to Join 2 or More SRT files to Create an *.IDX one?

Hello, dear all.

As the title said: " How to Join 2 or More SRT files to Create an *.IDX subtitle one?"


My goal is to have 2, 3 or more subtitles in srt format and put all them "together", but into IDX format.


PS: Usually I use Subtitle Edit to convert srt into idx. But, it's possible do it with more than 1 srt subtitle to IDX format using such program?

Open subtitle edit and click on tools/join subtitles.

My goal it to add one or more languages stream(s) to an already existing "idx" file.


Similar the program below, but the opposite instead:

Subtitle Edit can do it? Other programs can do it?

I guess I could find some ways to do it. See:

1) Convert each srt file into sub/idx using some programs listed below:

---> https://www.videohelp.com/tools/Txt2VobSub


2) Mux all these sub/idx files into only one using VobsubMuxer:


--> http://www.trustfm.net/divx/SoftwareVobsubMuxer.php


Apparently this method works. Need more testing. Maybe we can do it using other programs and methods too.


PS: to strip languages streams from

sub/idx files we can use the program below:

---> http://zuggy.wz.cz/ ( VobSubStrip )


Some more tips and advices about the subject are welcome.
