I need to create AVCHD video discs for my movies, as I don't have any Blu-Ray burners at the moment. I looked everywhere and I can't find any software that will allow me to burn in AVCHD. Almost all the results I get are how to convert AVCHD to DVD-Video format with MPEG formatting. I want to be able to make a disc which has actual AVCHD encoding so I can play it on my HDTV's without having to hook up my MacBook to the TV. Any software out there?

  2. It appears Toast, version 9 and up will do this. Possibly compressor.

Then of course your Blu Ray Player will have to be able to read the disks -- and this can be hit or miss.

    For DVD, iPad, HD, connected TV, … iMovie & FCPX? MovieConverter-Studio 3 (01/24/2015) - Handle your camcorder's videos? even in 60p or 60i? do a slow-motion? MovieCam.
