  1. Hi, this is my first time trying to do this. I am trying to burn a divx avi that I downloaded. The avi plays perfect, sound and video. I used virtualdub to extract the sound. Then I used TMPG and cut the length of the file in half and then encoded the mpeg using the avi for video and the wave for sound. The resulting mpeg looks and sounds very very good if not perfect. I then used VCDEasy to send the mpeg to a cue/bin file. I did this to disk and didn't try to burn with it. When I did this I am getting an error and it will only send about half of my mpeg to the bin. Here is the error:

strange (possibly non-compliant) user_data seen... (not a problem, usually a sign of TMPGEnc)
APS' pts seems out of order (actual pts 883.306700, last seen pts 883.346700) -- ignoring this aps
APS' pts seems out of order (actual pts 1102.386700, last seen pts 1102.426700) -- ignoring this aps
APS' pts seems out of order (actual pts 1510.946711, last seen pts 1510.986711) -- ignoring this aps
mpeg scan: pack header code (0x000001ba) expected, but 0x0c0ccc80 found (buflen = 2324)
bad packet at packet #118393 (stream byte offset 275145332) -- remaining 281266748 bytes of stream will be ignored.

Again the avi and mpeg both appear to be good. The cd that I burned from the bin that I got also played good right up to the point where it quit.
Something just won't let it burn the last half.

    Thanks for any help

  2. Try using VCD Gear to make your cue/bin. You can get it from www.vcdgear.com

  3. Hey Plaiboi,
    Thank you for the post.
VCD Gear didn't work for me at all. I get a Unable to open cd-1applications check options. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. The avi and mpeg appear to be good.

    Thanks again.
